Ultra compact, lightweight body

The Seatool HC3 underwater housing for the Sony HDV Handycam HDR-HC3 is machined from pure, solid blocks of aluminum and polycarbonate. The end result of this meticulous attention to detail is one of the smallest, lightest underwater video housings every produced. This housing features rugged aluminum construction yet only weighs a bit more that 1kg. Small and light enough to hand carry on aircraft, it's the perfect tool for the travelling diver faced with strict airline weight restrictions. Because the housing body conforms so closely to the camera, the housing attains nearly neutral buoyancy (slightly negative) for effortless underwaterhandling handling.

4-positon adjustable position remote control grip standard on all models

The right hand grip features control buttons for: Power Shooting mode change Record/standby Variable speed zoom Still image shutter AF/MF switch Strobe button ON/OFF

All controls are easily accessed while holding the grip which makes steady, stable footage a snap. Also, the grip angle can be adjusted between four positions to suit your style and the shooting situation. The thoughtful design enables setting the grip in the horizontal position, making a nice trim, compact package, when transporting.

Underwater attachment lenses attachable
The popular INON AD Mount lenses can be mounted (SD model requires optional AD Mount Converter) to the housing for even more versatility. Choose from underwater mountable fisheye, 105-degree wide angle or close-up lenses, to match any imaging situation.

Flip-type internal color filter equipped (DX and Ultra model)
The Deluxe model is fitted with an internal color correcting orange filter. The filter is installed inside the housing, in front of camera lens where it cannot be scratched. Flip a single lever to move the filter over or away from lens.

Accessory shoe
The HC3 housing features a multi-purpose accessory shoe on top of the housing. Add an optional FIX Rotary Hot Shoe Base, and a FIX Light, for an easy to handle, compact lighting system.

External remote control fiber optic capable
Using the HC3 camera's remote controller with the optional remote controller housing, you can control housing functions from a distance up to 5 meters via a fiber optic cable connection.

External strobe fiber optic connector
With it's 4 megapixel CMOS sensor, the HC3 takes beautiful still images as well as stunning HD video. To reproduce the subject's natural colors, it is possible to trigger and external strobe from the camera's internal strobe by a fiber optic cable attached to the housing's fiber optic connector. The HC3 offers high resolution and ultra compact size in a single package for both video and still imaging.

Recording indicator / Leak sensor lamp
The recording indicator and leak sensor lamp are easily visible on remote control panel, protecting against unintentional recording or informing you immediately of water leakage.
