Seatool D200 Features

The Seatool D200 housing features numerous innovative touches that make it unique in the underwater photographic arena, each designed to reflect the painstaking attention to detail that has become the hallmark of the Seatool name.

'Cam-Lock' Latching System

For years, underwater photographers have struggled with any number of cumbersome mechanisms designed to keep a camera housing securely closed. Everything from bolts to 'finger-biter' clamps has been employed at one time or another.

The Seatool 'Cam-Lock' latch system is a breath of fresh air for anyone who has used any of the above systems.

The latches are secured by a recessed release button. Once depressed the latch swings open to a first stage position, then extends further to release the back of the housing.

Securing the housing is just the reverse process, with a firm tactile tension indicating that the latch has a secure grip on the housing back.

The recessed release button insures 'snag-proof' protection from unintended latch release, and the two-stage cam action makes releasing and securing the latch simple and painless.

The new camera tray provides a secure mounting platform for securing the D200 within the housing. With the flip of a lever it can be easily removed from the housing for easy access to the camera for quick top-side shots or for battery changes.

The low profile design makes it unobtrusive when using the camera outside the housing.

The tripod mount screw is a captured design to prevent accidental loss.
